Support the Widows

Widows from Wipe our Tears Ministry in Sierra Leon Africa Visit: http://www.bramanfoundation.org

1 Timothy 5:16 ” Take care therefore of the widows and be sure to serve them. “

In our collective societies, whether in the USA, Africa or India, there are what we refer to as the forgotten populations. Widows are part of that population, as well as the poor the needy and orphaned. Throughout the bible we are asked to grow in our commitment to these folks as they struggle in their respective communities.

Therefore, the Braman Foundation continues to strive to answer the call of Christ for this supportive ministry. We are, naturally, tested, manipulated and lied to throughout the world. For many parts of the world are desperate for help. The Braman Foundation is very keen of the works of darkness and will not tolerate such an offense to the will of God. In some instances BFC has cut off funding for organizations that seem to be bluffing and using children and widows for profit. It is our humble call to serve as the Lord wishes, but mostly to be good stewards of the resources given to BFC. As we move forward in our growth we will continue to discern those that are frauds and those that are genuine. This is the BFC’s commitment to this work. We thank our donors for their continued support and those organizations in which we serve through our support.

Examine your Life

Fudia Braman Sesay with Pastor Joe Koroma at the Wipe our Tears Orphanage and Worship Center Makeni, Sierra Leone October 2023

Psalm 103: 15-18 “As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field; for the wind passes over it, and it is gone and its place knows it no more. but the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.

Just think or ponder back four generations back in your families linage. What were there names, what did your ancestors do and what were they like? Do you even have photographs of them? So how important were they if here today and gone tomorrow? WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE? Your days are numbered and soon you will wisked away to the next realm. Life must have meaning and understanding in Loving Thy Neighbor. The commandment is to love God, love your Neighbor and to love yourself. When you shun the homeless man or woman, or look down upon him or her remember just like you they are made in the image of God. We are all equal regardless of race, creed, family origin, economic status etc. God loves each and one of us and no one less. So look at your life and examine if you could grow in loving God, others or yourself? For soon you will not be here. What is important to you?

Mid-Week Prayer: Lord God Heavenly Father, many times I waste my time daily thinking my time here is ever lasting. Yet in truth I know my time is limited here on earth. Lord forgive my transgressions and my time wasted as if I will be here forever. All around me I look down on others forgetting that we are all equal, resting in the truth that all are loved by Thee. Help me to be more like you. Amen!!

Preparing for the coming of the Lord

A Special Christmas Celebration at Asapalli December 2015

Luke 1:26 ” now in the 6th month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee, called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David and the virgins name was Mary. And coming in he said hail oh favored one!! The Lord is with you. She was greatly troubled but the angel said, ” Do not be afraid, Mary for you have found favor with God. “

Most of us know this scripture and look forward to it every year. Yet why was Mary picked out of all the woman to be the mother of Christ? What is this favor that Mary had with God? “And God found favor with Mary?” Are you able to have this kind of favor in your life with the Holy Sprit and what is meant by this ? As a Christian these are important questions. So as you prepare for the coming of Christ what are you doing in this season to prepare? Have you been able to set more time apart for the Lord, in prayer, meditation and study of his word? Remember to seek yea first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and these things will be added unto you. Merry Christmas!!!

Mid-Week Prayer ” Lord, Lord, Lord I call out to Thee to be more like Thee and less like me. Help me to overcome self and be a peace maker in a world of turmoil. Lord prepare my heart for the coming of Thee. Please let this Christmas be a Devine Christmas in which I may serve others in You and about you. Amen. “

Are you Celebrating and Preparing for Christ

Construction continues in The Church of The Holy Comforter

Isaiah 9: 2 & 6 ” The people who walk in darkness have seen a great light. Those who live in a dark land the light shall shine on them, 6- For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us and the government shall rest on his shoulders and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal father Prince of Peace. “

In the quiet anticipation of Christmas spend time in reflection and in the preparation that the advent season holds so dear. Try not to be caught up in the worldliness of this season and cast aside the stress, the worry or shame that may come upon you. The promise that the word Advent holds is so promising. In this four week period we are anticipating the coming of our Lord Christ. Each week holds a significance and each candle represents meaning. A tradition that has been handed down since the 5th century Pope St. Gregory. The Advent Wreath originated in Germany in the 16th century. The wreath, usually made of evergreen branches features four candles one for each week, with the fifth candle the Christ Candle lit on Christmas Eve. The four candles represent love, joy, peace and the anticipation of Christ’s birth. Though the the message of the wreath may vary among our church its meaning remains the same: to prepare our hearts and minds for the coming of the Savior.

Mid-Week Prayer: ” Lord during this advent season help us to grow in intimacy with Thee. Help us to cast aside the worldliness of this season and celebrate the essence of who you are and what yo represent. We thank you that you are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and that your love and your bith. has given us our true freedom. Amen!! “
